The Vitra Eames Elephant is
an elephant designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945. However, this particular piece was never put into production. A prototype was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1946 and remains in the Eames family archives today. After the first limited edition was released in 2007, Vitra began mass production of the Eames Elephant in plywood in 2018.
The Eames Elephant small RE is available in seven different colors
The charming elephant is also available in a plywood version of the Eames Elephant, made from European chestnut or walnut. In addition, a larger version, the Eames Elephant RE, is made from the same RE material, and is also available in seven different colors.
