Personal data is processed for the purpose of managing and analyzing customer relationships and other relevant relationships, providing services, developing and planning business, and marketing and customer communications, which can also be carried out electronically and in a targeted manner.
General requirement for processing personal data: Section 8, subsection 1, points 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 of the Personal Data Act.

Personal data concerning the data subject is collected from the data subject himself/herself, from various services that the data subject uses (including Laatukalustee's online and mobile services and Laatukalustee's social media channels), and in connection with various marketing measures such as marketing raffles, competitions and events.
At the discretion of the controller, information may be disclosed, within the limits permitted and required by applicable legislation, for example to Laatukalustee's partners, unless the data subject has prohibited the disclosure of information. Information may in principle only be disclosed for purposes that support the operating principle of Laatukalustee's customer register and where the purpose of use of the information is not incompatible with the purposes of Laatukalustee.
Data may also be disclosed in accordance with applicable law, as required by the requirements of competent authorities or other parties, and for historical or scientific research purposes, provided that the data has been anonymized.
The electronically processed data contained in the register are protected by firewalls, passwords and other technical means generally accepted in the information security industry. The manually maintained materials are located in premises to which unauthorized access is prevented.
Only identified employees of the controller and companies acting on its behalf and under its authority have access to the information contained in the register with the use right granted by the controller.
The data subject has the right, in accordance with the Personal Data Act, to check what information about him or her has been stored in the register. At the request of the data subject, we will make necessary corrections and additions to the personal data or delete information that is incorrect, unnecessary, incomplete or outdated in relation to the purpose of the processing. Information can be checked and updated by contacting laatukaluste@laatukaluste.com . The request must be in writing and signed. The information request can be made free of charge once a year.
The data subject has the right to prohibit the processing and disclosure of data concerning him or her for direct marketing purposes by contacting our customer service.
Laatukaluste is constantly developing its business and therefore reserves the right to change this privacy policy by posting a notice on the services. Changes may also be based on changes in legislation. Laatukaluste recommends that data subjects familiarize themselves with the content of the privacy policy regularly.

Shopify historical data
We process previous order information and customer information (“historical information”) from the online store for service development, reporting and customer relationship management.
The information may also be used anonymously for statistical and analytical purposes so that we can improve the quality of the service and user experience.
The legal basis for data processing is the performance of the contract and the legitimate interest in maintaining and developing customer relationships.
We only use information for marketing communications if the customer has given consent or if the communication is based on an existing customer relationship.
Information is only retained for as long as necessary for the purposes mentioned above or as required by law.
Data may be transferred to Shopify and other service providers who act as processors of personal data.
If data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, the transfers will be based on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
The customer has the right to request access to their own data, rectification, deletion or restriction of processing, and to object to the processing of data based on legitimate interest.
