The Vitra Eames Elephant is
an elephant designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945. However, this particular piece was never put into production. A prototype was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1946 and remains in the Eames family archives today. After the first limited edition was released in 2007, Vitra began mass production of the Eames Elephant in plywood in 2018.
The Eames Elephant RE is available in seven different colors
The charming giant elephant is also available in a plywood version of the Eames Elephant, made from European chestnut or walnut. In addition, a smaller version, the Eames Elephant (small) RE, is made from the same RE material, also available in seven different colors.
