Artek A809 is a striking floor lamp with a three-part shade. Each shade has its own switch. The lamp was designed for the living room of French gallerist and art collector Louis Carré in 1959. Alvar Aalto was responsible for designing the home. The shade of the Artek A809 floor lamp consists of three hand-riveted, thin metal frames. The stand's appearance is dominated by hand-stitched black leather and the shiny chrome or brass surface of the neck. The brightness level of the A809 floor lamp and the alignment of indirect and direct light can be adjusted.
