The Artek 250 cabinet was reintroduced into production in 2025 as part of Artek's 90th anniversary. Designed by Alvar Aalto, the cabinet emphasizes both design and practicality, and its return to the collection is a tribute to Aalto, one of Artek's founders.

Originally designed as a cocktail cabinet, the cabinet served as the centerpiece of all home parties. The clear cabinet hides dishes, books, refreshments and office supplies inside, making it a versatile storage unit. Thanks to its design, the 250 cabinet can be stylishly placed in the dining room, living room or office.

Now returning to production after a decades-long hiatus, the 250 cabinets are designed by Alvar Aalto, but some of the credit also goes to his wife Aino Aalto. Old, archived drawings show that Aino Aalto was the first to use the ingenious L-legs in a cabinet.
