The Andersen Furniture A-shelf is a modern interpretation of the traditional Danish Amager shelf. Its recognizable shape, reminiscent of the letter A, gives the shelf a personal look while providing a space for books, decorative items, photographs, and other small objects.
The shelf is made entirely of solid wood, and material options include untreated oak, oiled oak, and ash finished with smoked oil. The natural grain of the wood remains beautifully visible, highlighting the shelf's simple structure. The A-shelf can be mounted on the wall in different orientations, and several shelves can be combined to create a striking and unique arrangement.
The large A-shelf works well, for example, in a living room, bedroom, or hallway. The keyhole mounting on the back makes for a neat installation, as the mounting screws remain hidden behind the shelf.
