The Vitra Lampe de Bureau table lamp was designed by Jean Prouvé in 1930. The classic lamp was originally designed to enchant the dormitories of the Cité Universitaire University in Nancy, France. The Lampe de Bureau, made of bent steel sheet, is even today perfectly suited to illuminate the workplace and to act as a mood light on top of it.
