Artek Rocket is a sturdy bar stool made of solid oak. Its soft and rounded shapes invite you to sit down. In its appearance, Rocket playfully resembles a rocket or missile, which is what the bar stool's name refers to. Eero Aarnio originally designed Rocket for his home kitchen in 1995, but later the stool became very popular in Artek's collection. Although wood as a material is not very visible in Aarnio's design work, Rocket shows that this material is also in his possession.

Artek - Long-lasting classics

Artek was founded in 1935 to sell and market furniture designed by Alvar Aalto. Artek's founders, Alvar and Aino Aalto, Nils-Gustav Hahl and Maire Gullichsen, published a manifesto written in the spirit of functionalism, according to which Artek's purpose was to "engage in the furniture trade and, through exhibitions and other means, promote modern housing culture."

Artek's original values ​​– durability and high quality combined with a pure design language – are still at the core of the company. Artek's powerhouses Alvar and Aino Aalto created a warm and human style for modern interior design, in which nature was a great source of inspiration.
