Tramontina was founded in 1911 in Southern Brazil, in the renowned Pampa region, known as the birthplace of Brazilian barbecue, or Churrasco. The roots of Churrasco date back to the 1 8th century when cattle herders, or Gauchos, used to grill meat on skewers stuck into the ground around a campfire.
