Always up-to-date rocking chair from a domestic manufacturer! Eimi Kaluste Oy is a family business that has grown in the lifetime of one generation from a small basement workshop to the largest rocking chair manufacturer in Finland. The company started with the hard work and tenacity of two poor young people. At the beginning of the 1960s, Eino and Armi Tuukkanen manufactured a wide variety of consumer goods, from decorative items to door frames, in Tuukkanen's basement workshop. In 1969, Vääksy's new production facilities were completed, and Tuukkanen's carpenter's workshop changed from a craft workshop to a small-scale industry. When Eino Tuukkanen was looking for a more professionally challenging job, he started developing his own rocking chair model. In 1975, the first rocking chair was born as a result of long tinkering, which was renamed the Eimi rocking chair according to the company's new business name.
