The String System Plex side panel 50x30 clear brings a light and modern look to the String shelving system. Made of transparent, laser-cut plexiglass, the side panel acts as the frame for a wall-mounted shelving unit, to which all 30 cm deep shelves, cabinets, and other components from the String System series can be combined.

The clear Plex side panel gives the shelving system an almost floating appearance and is particularly well-suited for interiors where spaciousness and minimalist design are desired. The 50 cm high panel is suitable for small storage solutions as well as part of a larger String System ensemble, for example, in the living room, study, kitchen, or hallway.

Nils Strinning designed the String shelving system in 1949. The product participated in a bookshelf design competition in Sweden and won it. The reason for the victory was the same reason why it is still very popular today. The shelves fit into a compact space and are easy to assemble and combine.
