Louis Poulsen Rumee is a lamp designed to provide high-quality low-beam lighting and diffuse soft, 360-degree ambient light. The slightly tilted shade directs the light both downwards and forwards, widening the beam angle. The light is dimmable, ensuring ideal, glare-free lighting.

Gabriel Tan was inspired by the wavy curve of a wide-brimmed hat for the shade. The lamp's sculpted design also evokes images of the elements of nature. This portable lamp is not only visually appealing, but also comfortable to hold, making it easy to move from place to place.

The name “Rumee” is a playful combination of meanings, drawing from both Danish and English. It combines the Danish word “rum” (space or room) with the English word “me”, while also being reminiscent of the English word “roomie”, an informal term for a roommate.
