Kay Bojesen's Dog "
Pind" turned 90 in 2024. Made by Kay Bojesen in 1934, it is yet another proof that Bojesen has succeeded in creating iconic design classics that you never get tired of. The dog was one of the first animals that Kay Bojesen created, and
Pind's design already shows his hallmarks; rounded shapes, soft edges and smiling lines.
The anniversary version of the dog is made of dark-tinted oak. As you can see from archive photos, Kay Bojesen actually made several darker dogs during his lifetime. Therefore, it was particularly fitting to bring
Pind back to life with a dark “coat” for the anniversary. The dark shade brings out the beautiful glow and warm look of the oak and emphasizes the wood’s vibrant and subtle tonal variations.
The small anniversary dog is 18.5 cm wide and features the 90th anniversary logo. The dog was only produced in 2024 to celebrate the anniversary.
The Pind dog is an icon of Danish design that laid the foundation for all of Kay Bojesen's later work.
