The name of the brand comes from the Finnish Bonden Paavo (Saarijärvi farmer Paavo). He was a determined peasant farmer who survived three years of bad harvests by utilizing the surplus flour and continuing it with pine bark. Natural materials are also used in Bonde's products in a new and creative way - as Bonde's Paavo did - in the spirit of Nordic design.

Designer Kati Hienonen is behind multi-purpose interior textiles and home accessories. Kat's design philosophy has been presented in several international magazines, such as Elle Decoration Country, Sköna hem, Deko and Gloria Home magazines.
