The Form & Refine Block lounge chair is a compact armchair with a distinctive wood panel and a casually upholstered cotton fabric surface. It combines durable, pure natural materials with soft, ergonomic shapes. The chair is designed as a multi-purpose piece of furniture that offers ample comfort despite its small size. The fine cotton fabric features carefully finished, visible knitting and stitching details on both the backrest and the front and back of the seat.

The Block lounge chair is perfect for small spaces as well as large, open, and rhythmically repetitive environments. Form & Refine and Herman Studio designed the Block lounge chair together for the Cabinetmakers' Autumn Exhibition 2022 in Copenhagen.

Zero textile is an elegant and vibrant bouclé upholstery fabric. Bouclé means that the fabric is woven from looped yarn, which creates a bumpy, three-dimensional surface. The pearlescent yarn used as warp and weft gives the fabric a luxurious feel and a sophisticated look. The coloring is a unique, contrasting “salt and pepper” combination.

Zero textile, shade 004, was developed in collaboration with Kvadrat.

Care instructions: Clean with a damp cloth, preferably cotton. Avoid abrasive sponges and synthetic cloths as they can cause scratches. Never use strong or abrasive cleaning agents as they can damage the furniture. Use solvent-free cleaning agents and only a mild detergent if necessary.

Vuonna 2018 perustetun Form & Refinen takana ovat Helle Herman Mortensen, Jonas Herman Pedersen ja Lasse Lund Lauridsen. Kolmikolla oli yhteinen halu luoda ympäristöarvoja kunnioittava muotoilubrändi. Brändi, joka säilyttää maapallomme, valitsee materiaalinsa tarkoin ja vaalii käsityökulttuuria. Yritys haluaakin aktiivisesti tehdä yhteistyötä pienempien työpajojen kanssa solmiakseen oikeudenmukaisia ja kunnioittavia kumppanuuksia, sekä luodakseen ympärilleen positiivista sosiaalista vaikutusta. 

Form & Refine pyrkii valikoimallaan vastaamaan loistavasti myös pienempien kotien ja asuinneliöiden tarpeisiin. Useiden tuotteiden taustalla piileekin "small living" -ajattelu, jonka myötä yhdellä kalusteella voi olla useampi käyttötarkoitus.
