UMAGE was founded in 2008 in Denmark and the company relies heavily on ecological values along with aesthetics, craft tradition and practicality. This can be seen in the selection of manufacturing materials and packaging, which are designed to have as little impact on nature as possible. Closeness to nature, beauty and durability are characteristics of UMAGE products, and they spread harmony around them, also in home decoration.
In addition to compact and reusable product packaging, the environment has been taken into account in many ways.In cooperation with the One Tree Planted charity organization, UMAGE plants one tree for every wooden product sold. UMAGE, on the other hand, donates 5% of the price of the product to the Plastic Change organization for every plastic lamp sold.
The company was previously known as VITA Copenhagen.
