Tramontina - famous kitchen utensils from Brazil
Tramontina was founded in 1911 in Southern Brazil, in the famous Pampas region, known as the birthplace of Brazilian barbecue, or Churrasco. Churrasco's roots date back to the 18th century, when cattle herders, or Gauchos, used to grill meat on skewers stuck into the ground around a campfire.
The traditional company Tramontina is primarily known for its steak knives. The company manufactures over 90 million kitchen knives and 500 million cutlery pieces annually, making it the world's largest manufacturer of steak knives. Today, Tramontina, employing over 10,000 people, is famous not only for its excellent products but also for its responsibility as a developer of employees, the environment, and local communities.
