Umber

Umbra (Latin for "shadow") was founded in 1979 in Toronto, Canada. Paul Rowan asked his childhood friend Les Mandelbaum to join him and together they started to design everyday products into contemporary design. In addition to modern design, the friends wanted the products to be competitive both in terms of price and attitude.

Umbra's international designers strive to provoke thoughts in every product they create. Inspiration is sought from strong or global trends and new emerging needs. Umbra is also not afraid to break the boundaries of so-called normal design.
